my contribution to C29 : Growth

i made the mask of my face with plaster embedded gauze, then attached it to canvas board covered in plaster of paris.. using more plaster gauze.. then used medical gauze for other textures.. painted it, added grape vine twisties that i collected from the woods outside, and more gauze over the eyes.

created while listening to I, Parasite

it looks much better in person, up there on my bookshelf.

hope it's in the right gallery.

*note*
i've since learned to use modeling paste for texture instead of plaster to avoid chipping and other accidents.

*edit*
so i have insomnia and it's 4am and i logged in to see that this got a DD!!! woah! :O thank you `Solitude12 and `Thebuild :D

Daily Deviationthe pain of evolution by ~emaleth is a macabre piece of work, the hairs the appear to be more thorn like in their quality which rise from the head leaving trails of blood, combined with the blank expression less face leave a very disconcerting feel, especially as you cannot see nor guess the expression or message that may be held within the eyes. o.o strange, as usual, but even more so here! :D
This is fantastic! the texture make it look both supple and firm at the same time :)
