this is a freehand digital painting based on my earlier drawing Wired Dreamer
this image was painted 100% in Photoshop 7 without use of photo references.. the tools used were the airbrush and smudge tools, done in 3 layers (background, flesh, and wires).
time: i wasn't keeping track, at least 25 hours. the wires gave me the most trouble.
i don't have a tablet, this was done using a mouse.
the background wasn't terribly inspired, but i didn't want to detract from the woman herself, hence it's lack of detail and all that fun stuff..
must be hard to paint with a mouse. its nice, but i wish you would have done more with the wired entry points. maybe put some swelling and reddening or something...
just my personal taste though.
